Over this 10-week course, you’ll delve deeply into fresh ways of exploring FMA’s core principles, helping you clarify and deepen your own understanding and making them your own.
The core principles, which underpin all Alexander work, are what make it unique.
By the end of the course, you’ll feel equipped to articulate and demonstrate your new perspectives clearly and confidently to yourself and to others.
This is an opportunity for you to:

- Shine a spotlight on the AT principles and gain inspiring new insights, intriguing new concepts and a fresh clarity.
- Explore your ideas and exchange new perceptions with others.
- Create new ways of communicating AT principles, in your own voice, to teach and inspire others.
- Increase your level of self-confidence in presenting AT material.
By the end of the programme you will have:

- INVESTIGATED the principles in depth and from new thought-provoking perspectives.
- IDENTIFIED new ways of presenting the subject matter to others; whether in groups, individually, online or in the studio.
- COMMUNICATED each principle clearly and explained it’s relevance within your teaching and learning environment
The classes will have a max of 10 participants and will be personal and interactive. Everyone will be invited to contribute in whole group and smaller group discussions and assignments. There will be reflection, questions, study, lots of inspiring thinking – and fun!
You’ll be given a workbook to keep your ideas and notes in one place.
How has this course come about?
During lockdown, I re-read all four of Alexander’s books alongside others and gained many new insights and perspectives into the core principles underlying the work. I felt as if I had polished up, broadened and deepened my knowledge and it has informed my work in new ways since then.
Seeing with new eyes is both challenging and stimulating and I hope to provide a platform for you to dig deep, explore and formulate your own new ideas. I hope it will excite and inspire you in going forward with your work.
